Oh my cherry this is good! A simple but delicious Cherry & Beetroot Sorbet Smoothie.
Have you ever been like, ”fudge it, I’ll just make a simple smoothie for dinner, it just have to suffice”. Well that was me an hour ago. Looked in the fridge and freezer and all I found was some frozen bananas, cherries and a beetroot. So I just chucked that into the mixer and waited (tiredly might I add) for it to mix. Little did I know that I would soon experience the best smoothie I’ve ever made. It’s divine in it’s simplicity.
I then ended up just wanting to crawl into bed with my smoothie, it tasted so much like summer. And I did not want to share with hubby, although I ended up doing that anyways. That damn husband of mine, too cute and kind to say no to.
And here goes, the recipe for my ridiculously yummy ”Cherry sorbet smoothie”. Also, it got beetroot in it, and beetroot is widely known for it’s healthy properties in terms of cardio vascular diseases. Win win in my opinion.
Cherry Sorbet Smoothie
2 parts frozen banans (about 3-4 frozen bananas)
1 part frozen cherries (like about 250 grams)
1 small or 1/2 normal sized beetroot, peeled
Just throw that into your high speed blender and mix away, try not to add water. The water will form small icy crystals and it will not become smoother, just more grainy and less sweet.
Just take your time, scrape down the sides and keep mixing. Pour into a large glass jar and enjoy yourself.
